Sensei Emmanuel Herzog, 6th Dan Shihan

Sensei Emmanuel Herzog is a certified 6th Dan black belt (Shihan) in the Japanese martial art of Aikido, issued by the Aikikai Foundation in Tokyo, Japan. He started his training at the age of 13 under Venezuelan National Chief Instructor Sensei Nelson Requena (6th Dan). Sensei Herzog is also a certified instructor in Aikido training for children. Currently he is practicing at Florida Aikikai with Sensei Peter Bernath (8th Dan).
With over 40 years of Aikido practice and more than 30 years of teaching experience, Sensei Herzog has conducted many seminars and exhibitions in Latin American countries like Brazil, Argentina, Panama, Aruba, Venezuela, as well as in the United States in New York, Colorado, Illinois and Florida. He has also been a guest on television and radio programs and has appeared in articles in specialized magazines.
Throughout his career Sensei Herzog has proven strong leadership and success since 1997 in the Technical Director position for the Venezuelan Aikido Federation. In this position he was responsible to train, test and evaluate other Aikido instructors. Currently, Sensei Emmanuel Herzog is an instructor for Florida Aikikai main dojo at Fort Lauderdale and most recently at the Miramar Regional Park. Sensei Herzog is an active member of the United States Aikido Federation (USAF).
